Supported Housing for young parents!

Supported Housing for young parents!

At Elizabeth Court clients are encouraged to join in activities arranged by the staff team. These include Tea and Talk a regular informal social meeting. There are also house meetings giving clients a say in how project is run. Both Stonham and Orbit take the views of their clients seriously and hold client forums to offer the opportunity for everyone living in Elizabeth Court to have put forward their ideas.

To be eligible for a place at Elizabeth Court you need to be between 16 and 24 years old, a single mother or expecting a baby. You should be from the Medway area, in need of housing and you've, probably, never held a tenancy before. You may need support applying for benefits, setting up utilities, accessing education, accessing health care. You may have domestic violence issues, child abuse or many other problems that you need support with. You must be willing to meet your link worker regularly and to develop and work on your personal support plan. You can be referred to us by a Connexions worker, health visitor, midwife, social worker, youth worker or a teacher through the Medway Housing Options team. They can arrange for you to visit Elizabeth Court to find out about the project for yourself.
