Services
A lot of people worry about visiting a sexual health service for fear of what others may think of them.
Embarrassment is common but you don't have to worry. Staff are friendly and non-judgmental. They are there to help you, put your mind at rest and answer any questions you may have. You can bring a friend or partner to support you if you want to.
The most important thing to remember is that everything you talk about is confidential. Information is only shared between you, the nurse and the doctor.

Some services are walk-in, but others you'll need to call in advance. If you are a bit nervous about phoning to arrange to see someone, we have some handy tips to help you make an appointment
You don't always have to come and see us for advice. If you have a problem or query which you can't find the answer to on this website, why not ask us a question?
There is a full list of all sexual health services in Medway on this website. Just pop your postcode into our Find a Service page and tell us what you need – C Card, emergency contraception, pregnancy testing, STI testing – and it will give you details of your five nearest services.
You can also call NHS Direct on 0845 46 47 for information and advice on your health and local services.
