Having sex with someone younger than 13 is a very serious offence and could lead to you being charged with statutory rape.
If you are under 16 years old, it is legal for you to get confidential sexual health advice, information and contraception without your parents/guardian being told.
The rules on confidentiality are very strict and the law says that all patient records and information must be kept completely private.
In an exceptional circumstance though, confidentially might be broken to ensure you are safe from serious danger such as abuse, exploitation or harm. But even if this happens, the worker must talk to you first before they tell anyone else.
