Young Parent Groups are a chance for young parents and parents-to-be to meet, access information, advice and support, and socialise with one another.
Young Parent Groups are a chance for young parents and parents-to-be to meet, access information, advice and support, and socialise with one another. Small friendly groups held each week are open for single parents and couples under the age of 20. For more information, please text ‘young parent groups’ to 88020.
Ready, Steady, Learn
Ready, Steady, Learn offers a learning programme for young parents. While taking part in the programme, your children can be looked after by a qualified registered crèche or childminder. Childcare is paid for by the Care to Learn Scheme, which helps young parents get back into education, employment and training.
The Ready, Steady, Learn programme covers a range of topics, including:
- First Aid
- Money issues
- Education, employment and training
- Accidents and illness
- Relationships
- Housing and benefits
